Women and Men Both Place 2nd at 2022 Skyline Conference Cross Country Championships

Result

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's and men's cross counry teams both tied for second place at the 2022 Skyline Conference Championships on Sunday. 

Top performers

• Marissa Degni led the SJNY women with a 6k time of 25:13.1 and a fourth-place finish
• Gianna Dickson took sixth place (25:43.4) and Emily Venturi was eighth (26:08.1)
• Matt Lopez was the men's top finisher with an 8k time of 28:02.6 and a fifth-place finish
• Patrick Wuss placed 12th with a time of 29:20.04

How it happened

• The women's amassed 66 points and tied for second place with SUNY Maritime
• The men also tied for second with SUNY Maritime, having posted a team score of 74
• USMMA won both the women's and men's championships
