Kelly Named ABCA Region All-Defensive Team

Greensboro, NC| Sophomore Jack Kelly of the St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) baseball team was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Div. III Region All-Defensive team as announced by the organization on Thursday.

Kelly appeared in 14 games for the Golden Eagles and was flawless defensively finishing with 21 assists and four putouts without committing an error.

The sophomore led the team with 59.1 innings pitched this season, producing a record of 6-2, with one save. He ended the season with a 4.10 era striking out 38 batters and was named to the Skyline All-Conference second team.

Players selected to the ABCA NCAA Div. III Region All-Defensive teams were eligible for ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove honors. The 2023 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners in all divisions were announced Wednesday, June 21.
