Three Golden Eagles Earn Weekly Awards; Three Land on Honor Roll

New York, NY| Six Golden Eagles received Skyline Conference Weekly awards when the conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning.

Freshman Antonia Busa of the softball team received Rookie of the Week, junior Mark Williams of men's volleyball was named Player of the Week and freshman Connor Ruais of men's volleyball was also named Libero of the Week.

Additionally, senior Ryan Decoursey of the baseball team, Tim Bruno of men's lacrosse, and Luke MacPherson of men's volleyball all secured Honor Roll recognition.

Antonia Busa (Fr.) - Softball Rookie of the Week 

The freshman led the Golden Eagles going 6-10 at the plate. The Massapequa NY, native recorded five hits on five at-bats with one double. Busa also contributed four RBIs, and one run scored in a non-conference matchup against Wis-Stout.

Mark Williams (Jr.) - Men's Volleyball Player of the Week 

Willaims finished the week with 18 kills, good for 3.00 kills per set, with a team-best six aces and three assists. The junior totaled 10 digs and a block. In a 3-2 win over Ramapo, the outside hitter finished with a team-high 15 kills and six aces with eight digs and three assists.

Connor Ruais (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Libero of the Week 

Ruais totaled 11 digs and was a perfect 33-for-33 in service receptions on the week. The Oakdale NY, native added five assists and a kill. In a five-set win over Ramapo, the freshman tallied seven digs with 25 receptions and four assists.

Ryan Decoursey (Sr.) - Baseball Weekly Honor Roll

Decoursey went 3-for-6 with a home run in a 19-6 non-conference win over Lehman College. The shortstop added four RBIs and three runs scored with a 1.000% slugging percentage in the Golden Eagles' lone game of the week. 

Tim Bruno (Sr.) - Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

Bruno recorded one goal and one assist for a total of two points in the Golden Eagles' lone game of the week. The senior was an impressive 11-13 on faceoffs all while collecting a game-high 14 groundballs. 

Luke MacPherson (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

MacPherson finished the week averaging 2.00 kills per set totaling 12 kills, and a pair of service aces. Defensively, the freshman picked up 12 digs, good for 2.00 digs per set, and had hands-on four blocks. The Holbrook NY, native had 12 kills that came in a 3-2 Skyline win over Ramapo where he added seven digs, two solo blocks, and one block assist.
