Five Golden Eagles Land on Weekly Honor Rolls

New York, NY| Five Golden Eagles were recognized with Skyline recognition when the conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning.

Baseball's Joe Sanguedolce and Dante Morabito, Emily O'Mara of the women's lacrosse team, Kyle Strayer of the men's lacrosse team, and softball's Julia Ruocchio all secured Weekly Honor Roll recognition.

Joe Sanguedolce (Jr.) - Baseball Weekly Honor Roll

Sanguedolce hit .444 going 8-for-18 with a pair of walks in a 5-0 week for the Golden Eagles scoring six runs with an RBI and a stolen base. The second baseman was 5-for-9 in a doubleheader sweep of SUNY Old Westbury including the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the ninth of the 11-10 win in game two.

Dante Morabito (So.) - Baseball Weekly Honor Roll

Morabito tossed seven scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts in two appearances out of the pen for the Golden Eagles last week. The sophomore provided six shutout innings of relief allowing just two hits while striking out nine in a 4-3 13-inning win over SJBK. 

Emily O'Mara (Jr.) - Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll 

O'Mara recorded seven points on five goals and two assists across two Skyline Conference matchups on the week. The junior collected a team-high eight draw controls while scooping up six ground balls. The midfielder tallied four goals including the game-winner while adding two assists, six draw controls and five ground balls in the overtime win against Mt. St. Vincent

Kyle Strayer (Sr.) - Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

Strayer led the team on the week with four points on two goals and two assists. The attack matched a team-best nine ground balls while causing a turnover in the Golden Eagles' lone contest of the week.

Julia Ruocchio (Jr.) - Softball Weekly Honor Roll

Ruocchio was 7-for-17 at the plate for a .412 batting average over six games for the Golden Eagles. The junior knocked in four runs while scoring six. In the circle, she tossed 29.2 innings in six appearances with four complete games securing a pair of wins.
