Roadrunners Speed Past Eagles

Mahwah, N.J. – The St. Joseph's College men's basketball team (1-6) was defeated by the Roadrunners of Ramapo (7-0), 110-76, to extend their losing streak to five games.

Ramapo started the game on fire, starting off on a 19-3 run in the first four minutes of the game. The Roadrunners shot 54.9% from the floor for the first half. Ramapo had 15 more shots than St. Joseph's and forced 11 turnovers in the first half alone.

The second half was more of the same; Ramapo went 16-of-33 from the floor. St. Joseph's managed to get three players in double-digit scoring; Keith Anderson (Central Islip, N.Y / North Babylon) led the team with 16 points as Cody Lohsen (Centereach, N.Y. / Centereach) and Sean McCarthy (Kings Park, N.Y. / Kings Park) added 12 and 10, respectively. Points off turnovers stymied the Eagles, by being outscored 32-7 by the Roadrunners. Ramapo dominated the boards with 54 rebounds over the Golden Eagles' 36.

The next game for the St. Joseph's is December 17 against the Royals of Scranton University (6-2) in the opening round of the PNC Royal Rumble Tournament.
