Danbury, CT| The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association (ECAC) announced its weekly soccer award winners on Tuesday afternoon, and amongst the honored was sophomore Rayneri Ruiz of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's soccer team who was named Division III Metro Region Offensive Player of the Week.

Ruiz, who was tabbed Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week earlier on Tuesday morning, scored once and picked up a pair of helpers in the men's soccer team's 7-0 victory over Farmingdale State last Wednesday—a win that ensured the Golden Eagles entered the conference championship tournament as the second seed. Now with team-leading figures in goals (11) and points (27), Ruiz, before play on Wednesday, ranked fourth in the conference in points-per-game (1.93).

Ruiz and the men's soccer team open play in the Skyline Conference Championship tournament on Wednesday evening when they host third-seeded College of Mount St. Vincent in the semifinal round. Kick-off is set for 7:00 pm at Danzi Stadium. Watch the action live here
