Patchogue, NY| Senior outfielder Anthony Bonilla's double in the eighth inning set a new program record for career hits as the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) baseball team earned an 18-4 win in game three of the Skyline Conference Baseball Championship at Gregg Alfano Field on Saturday afternoon.

Bonilla led the Golden Eagles in hits with his 4-for-6 day, and Lou Doria drove in four runs on two hits with his two, two-run blasts.

The Golden Eagles grabbed an early 2-0 lead with Doria's first homer in the first inning. What followed was an Anthony Raucci single, a walk by Tyler Crafa and a two-run single gave SJC a 6-0 lead by the end of the first.

SJC continued its offensive surge in the second when an RBI single by Paul Britt and home run by Doria made it a 9-0 game. Later in the inning, Campanelli singled home a run before Crafa's sacrifice fly blew the game open 11-0.

On cruise control thereafter, St. Joseph's scored three more tallies in the fifth and seventh innings before driving in a run in the eighth to extend the lead to 17 runs (18-1).

The Knights scored three runs courtesy of a two-run home run by Kevin Edgar and a triple by John Santana.

Brandon Lubrano earned the win for Golden Eagles tossing five and a third innings, allowing zero runs, five hits, striking out five, and walking one. Four relievers helped Golden Eagles close out the 18-4 victory.

Golden Eagles were credited with 21 hits in the game as Tyler Sanderson, Bonilla, Crafa, Doria, Britt, Campanelli, and Dylan Piscitelli each collected multiple hits.

The Golden Eagles will play tomorrow when they take on the winner of game four of the Skylline Championship at 11 AM. Live stats and video will be available here.
