Baseball Cruises to 22-2 win over New Rochelle

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College baseball team cruised to a 22-2 non-conference win over the College of New Rochelle at Gregg Alfano Field on Wednesday evening.

The Golden Eagles improve to 10-11 on the season as the Blue Angels drop to 2-19.

St. Joseph's scored multiple run is six innings and 10 different Golden Eagles recorded at least one hit as the team went on to belt 22 hits.

Anthony Raucci was 4-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and three runs scored. Tyler Sanderson finished 4-for-5 including two doubles and a triple with six RBIs and four runs scored. Nick Vicino went 3-for-6 with a two-run homerun. Jesse Nakashian came off the bench and went 3-for-3 with two runs scored.

Justin Stromski and Michael Reda provided two hits apiece and combined for five RBIs and two runs scored.

SJC's Austin Turner earned the win scattering four hits with six strikeouts in five scoreless innings.

The Golden Eagles resume Skyline Conference play when they travel to Yeshiva University on Friday, April 5.
