Woodford Garners ABCA All-New York Honors
Greensboro, NC| Junior Tim Woodford of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) baseball team has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-New York Region Second-Team as announced Tuesday.
Woodford's regional recognition comes on the heels of ECAC and D3baseball.com honors.
The pitcher finished the 2019 season with a 6-1 record and was second in the Skyline Conference with a 1.40 ERA. The right-hander totaled 49 strikeouts while holding opposing hitters to just a .203 batting average in 51.1 innings on the mound.
Woodford and the baseball team finished the regular season with a 9-9 Skyline record and entered the Skyline Conference Championship as the fifth seed and was eliminated by fourth-seeded SUNY Maritime, 10-9, in the first round on May 1.
