Makulik, McGrath and Panicola Earn All-Conference Honors

New York, NY| Freshman Victoria Makulik of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team earned a Skyline All-Conference First-Team selection as announced by the Skyline Conference on Monday morning.

Makulik, a native of Medford, NY and a two-time Rookie of the Week, compiled a 12-2 singles record during her first collegiate campaign and a 10-0 mark in doubles matches. In Skyline action she went 4-2 in singles and a perfect 6-0 in the #2 doubles slot.

Additionally, senior Kelley McGrath earns her second All-Skyline Selection, while freshman Victoria Panicola collects All-Skyline honors in her freshman year.

McGrath posted a 9-4 record this year, while going 10-2 in the #1 doubles slot in the regular season. The Second-Team All-Conference member helped carried the Golden Eagles to the playoffs earning key wins at third singles spot against Mount St. Mary's, Purchase, and Sage. 

Panicola earns Second-Team honors for her 4-2 singles Skyline Conference record this year and completed the regular season with an impressive 12-2 record in all singles matches. The Shirely, NY native played a crucial role at #3 doubles posting a 10-3 record in all matches and a 4-2 mark in conference play.

Individual honors as well as the All-Skyline teams were determined by a vote of the league's eight head coaches.
