McClafferty Earns Skyline Co-Pitcher of the Week Honors

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards Monday evening, and amongst the winners were three St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Golden Eagles, including senior Mallory McClafferty who received softball Co-Pitcher of the Week honors. In addition, senior Ryan Walsh and junior Meaghan Haber appeared on Weekly Honor Rolls for baseball and women's lacrosse, respectively.

Mallory McClafferty — Softball Pitcher of the Week

McClafferty tossed her first-career no-hitter in a 12 strikeout-effort in softball's 4-0 victory over St. Joseph's (Brkln) on Saturday afternoon. The senior, who is now 4-1 on the season, would wrap the week with a 1-1 record, 18 strikeouts and a 2.15 ERA. A Skyline Weekly Honor Roll selection last week, McClafferty currently leads the conference in strikeouts (39) and in ERA among pitchers who have made at least four appearances (1.81).

Ryan Walsh — Baseball Weekly Honor Roll

Walsh carried the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) baseball team to a 10-8 win over Lehman on Tuesday afternoon with a  3-for-5 performance that included a double and a two-run shot in the sixth inning. The Nesconset, NY native finished the afternoon with three RBI's.

Meaghan Haber — Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

Haber collected seven goals in two games last week as the women's lacrosse team posted a 1-1 record. In a 7-6 overtime loss to Stockton on Thursday, Haber matched a career-high with four goals on seven shots. On Saturday, the East Northport, NY native went for three goals to help lift the Golden Eagles to a 15-10 victory over Hartwick on the road.
