Freshman Megan Spina of the St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) women's basketball team was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week when the conference released its weekly awards on Tuesday morning.

Additionally, junior Spencer Malloy of men's basketball, junior Lanyah Ford of women's basketball, junior CJ Johnson, freshman Luke MacPherson, and freshman Connor Ruais all of the men's volleyball were all named to the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll.

Megan Spina (Fr.) - Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Spina finished the week totaling 37 points in three games for the Golden Eagles. The guard had a career-high 18 points on 8-12 shooting to go along with two rebounds and two assists in a win against Old Westbury. Also contributed 11 points, three rebounds, one block, and one steal in a win against Farmingdale St. The Selden, NY native averaged 12.3 points on 53.3% shooting with 2.3 rebounds per game, and 1.7 steals per game.

Lanyah Ford (Jr.) - Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

The junior guided the Golden Eagles to a 2-1 week totaling 52 points, averaging 17.3 points per game. Ford recorded a double-double against Sarah Lawrence with 19 points, and 11 rebounds, while adding five assists and four steals. The guard finished the week averaging 7.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.

Spencer Malloy (Jr.) - Men's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

The junior finished the week averaging nearly a double-double with 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. The Commack, NY native totaled 29 points shooting almost 60% from the field to go along with 19 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and a pair of steals. The forward dropped a team-high 16 points with 12 boards in a win over Old Westbury after a 13-point performance with seven boards with two assists, two blocks, and two steals against Yeshiva.

CJ Johnson (Jr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

Johnson guided the Golden Eagles to a 3-1 non-conference win over Eastern Nazarene College with 39 assists averaging 9.75 assists per set. The setter recorded a match-high 11 digs while knocking down a season-best six kills.

Luke MacPherson (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

The freshman finished with seven kills with a pair of aces in the Golden Eagles' only game of the week. Defensively, MacPherson added a team-high 30 service receptions with four digs and matched a game-high three block assists.

Connor Ruais (Fr.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

Ruais, in the lone game of the week for the Golden Eagles, the freshman finished with 17 receptions. The libero added four digs and two assists.
