Women's Basketball Collects Skyline Conference Honors to End Season

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) women's basketball team saw garnered two end-of-season awards when the Skyline Conference released its All-Conference Teams on Tuesday afternoon. 

Senior Alyssa Adomaites collected All-Conference First Team honors, while junior Lanyah Ford was named to the All-Conference Second Team. 

Adomaites led the Golden Eagles with 424 total points on the year averaging 17.0 points per game good for second in the conference. The guard also showed efficiency throughout the year landing in the top 10 in the conference in field goal percentage shooting 44.9% from the field, while also leading the conference in free throw percentage at 76.0%. The junior was also amongst the top defenders in the conference totaling an impressive 67 steals on the season good for third in the conference while averaging 2.7 steals per game good for fourth. 

The East Northport, NY native was a four-time selection to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll, while also being recognized as the Skyline Conference Player of the Week one time this season. 

Ford also helped guide the Golden Eagles this season, providing 366 total points good for third in the conference, averaging 14.6 points per game, landing sixth in the conference. The junior was very productive with the ball this year landing in the top 10 in the conference in field goal percentage shooting 34.7% from the field while shooting 68.9% from the free throw line good for fifth in the conference. The guard was also top 10 in the conference in rebounding, grabbing 208 rebounds and averaging 8.3 rebounds per game. 

The Copiague, NY native achieved Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll four times this year and was honored as a one-time Skyline Conference Player of the Week.
