Women's Lacrosse Receives Skyline Conference End of Season Awards

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) women's lacrosse team saw a trio of end-of-season awards when the conference released its All-Conference teams on Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Jamie Trowbridge, junior Emily O'Mara, and freshman Megan Spina were all named to All-Conference Second Team.  

Trowbridge led the Golden Eagles on the year with 35 goals, 24 assists, and 59 total points. The senior accumulated a team-best 57 draw controls, while also being second on the team with 20 caused turnovers and collected 24 ground balls. The midfielder was also a solid 13-25 on free-position shots and added two man-up goals on the year. 

The Brookhaven, NY native garnered the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll on four occasions this season.

O'Mara helped guide the Golden Eagles with 22 goals and 29 total points on the season good for second-best on the team, while also providing seven assists on the year. The junior recorded 33 draw controls which was also second-best on the team while scooping up 21 ground balls and causing seven turnovers. The midfielder contributed two game-winning goals, one man-up goal, and was a steady 7-15 on free-position shots. 

The Huntington, NY native received recognition by being named to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll once.

Spina led the Golden Eagles on the defensive end causing a team-high 30 turnovers, collecting a team-high 36 ground balls, and tallied two draw controls. The defenseman scored five goals to go along with two assists for a total of seven points on the year. The freshman finished 2-4 on free position shots for the season while also recording one man-up goal. 

The Selden, NY native was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week one time this season.
