Robert Gomez Appointed Men's Soccer Head Coach

Patchogue, NY| St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) Director of Athletics Melody Cope announced the appointment of Robert Gomez as the Men's Soccer Head Coach. 

"We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Robert Gomez as the new head coach of the St. Joseph's University Men's Soccer Team. Gomez brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for the game. We believe that under Gomez's leadership, our team will reach new heights and achieve the excellence we strive for. We can't wait to see what the future holds!"

Gomez replaces Mark Lugris after guiding the program for the last five seasons. Gomez a former player and captain of the St. Joseph's University Men's Soccer team has served as an assistant coach for the last four seasons for the Golden Eagles. Gomez looks to help guide the Golden Eagles back to the playoffs where they fell just short of last year. 

Prior to St. Joseph's Gomez was the Youth Coach for Cantera Futbol (Northport Cow Harbor) where he propelled the U13 team to an undefeated season, and saw his team promoted from division four to division three.

Gomez earned his BA in Criminal Justice from St. Joseph's in Patchogue, New York.
