How it happened
  • The first half was a back-and-forth stalemate until the Valiants took advantage of a corner kick opportunity that found the body of Kresse to put Manhattanville ahead by one

  • The Valiants looked to build on their lead early in the second half as they would total five shots through the first eight minutes of action but SJLI was able to hold off the attack 

  • In the 79th minute, a deflection in the Golden Eagles attacking zone found the left foot of Saravia as the forward was able to put into the back of the net to tie the game at one

  • As the game was coming to a close Arjan Delija would find the space for one last opportunity but ut was turned away by Vitale ending the game in a tie

  • SJLI finished with 14 shots while the Valiants totaled 15

  • Each team collected six corner kicks

  • Two yellow cards and one red card were handed out in the match
