Men's Volleyball Sweeps Baruch, 3-0

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College men's volleyball earned a 3-0 non-conference sweep over Baruch College on Thursday night.

The win moves the Golden Eagles to 9-4 on the season as the Bearcat slide to 9-6.

After SJC took an early match lead with a 25-19 win in set one. A tightly played second set needed extra points for the Golden Eagles to come away with a 26-24 win. St. Joseph's fell behind early in the third set, but regained momentum and completed the sweep with a 25-21 win.

Senior Paul Curaro posted a game-high 14 kills with a .242 hitting percentage. Senior Matt Cole recorded a double-double of 10 kills and 11 digs.

Setter Jason Siriban dished 28 assists and senior Will Flohr matched Cole's 11 digs while adding five kills.

Artem Zinkin led the Bearcats with nine kills. Steven Lopez pitched in with eight kills and seven digs. Setter Stallone Shankar tossed 29 assists with Rabsang Andrugtsang picking up 17 digs.

The Golden Eagles return to the Danzi Center on Saturday, February 29 when they host North Central College and SUNY New Paltz. Game times are slated for 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
