Men's Volleyball Sweeps NJCU at Home

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team secured a 3-0 Skyline Conference victory over New Jersey City University inside the Danzi Athletic Center on Wednesday evening to improve to 12-7 overall on the year and 2-1 in conference play.

SJC hit .360 as a team in the match and was led by senior Paul Curaro, who hit .400, put down a team-high 13 kills and was credited with six digs.

Senior Kyle Biggers hit .875 and went for seven kills, and senior Kyle Allen-Morabito hit .571 and was credited with nine kills and five blocks. 

Junior Jason Siriban dished out a game-high 34 assists and senior David Slager scooped up a game-best 11 digs.

A tight first set saw the hosts rally for the final three points after being tied with NJCU at 22. SJC breezed through the second set and secured a 25-14 win to go up 2-0 in the match before registering a 25-18 victory in the third (3-0).

St. Joseph's collected 39 digs and limited NJCU to a .128 hitting percentage. The hosts also held a 12-8 edge in total blocks.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday, March 8 when they travel to Yeshiva University for a Skyline Conference tri-match with the Maccabees and NJCU at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, respectively.
