New York, N.Y. - Baseball's Nick Girardi (Syosset, N.Y./ St. Dominic) and lacrosse's Caitlynn Webber (Eastport, N.Y./ Eastport-South Manor) were both named Skyline Conference Players of the Week in the latest report released on April 13.

St. Joseph's outfielder and pitcher Girardi was bestowed the Skyline Player of the Week title after crushing 12 hits for four RBI and six runs scored to lead SJC to a perfect 6-0 in the Skyline Conference over the past week. In those games, Girardi, a junior, accrued multi-hit performances in 4-of-6 games with a .462 batting percentage.  Girardi also stepped on the mound to record a save; striking out the two batters he faced to seal a 5-3 victory over the Farmingdale Rams.

Lacrosse team captain Webber was awarded Skyline Co-Player of the Week after leading the Golden Eagles to a 2-0 record after compiling nine points off four goals and five assists, including an overtime goal against Farmingdale to snatch SJC's first-ever program victory over the Rams. Webber, a senior, was active on all sides of the ball, winning eight draw controls, scooping seven ground balls, and forcing five turnovers.

Four Golden Eagles were noted on the Honor Roll for their feats over the week including sophomore baseball pitcher Josh Outsen, (Lindenhurst, N.Y./ Copiague) who was a perfect 2-0 in starts against Old Westbury and Farmingdale striking out eight batters, softball's Julianne Tierney (Bethpage, N.Y./ Bethpage), who scored six runs off 11 hits over seven games, lacrosse midfielder Kristin Carroll (Patchogue, N.Y./ Patchogue-Medford), who caused four turnovers, won three ground balls, found the back of the net once, and dished an assist and men's tennis' Matt Reed for going 2-0 at first singles and 2-0 at No. 1 doubles in a 1-1 week for the Golden Eagles.
