Patchogue, NY| Returning for his second season at the helm of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team is Chris Brandenberger, who looks to build off his squad's sixth-place finish at the 2017-18 Skyline Conference Championships a year ago.

The Returners: Brandenberger welcomes back five returners from last season's team including junior captains Aileen Baker and Samantha Mullman. The duo were a part of the 200 yard and 400 yard freestyle relay teams that set school records during the 2016-17 season, and in 2017-18, Mullman broke  program records in the 50 yard and 200 yard freestyles.

Isabella Peralta and Jordyn Cummings return for their sophomore campaigns after successful freshman seasons, and Catherine Peralta, the team's only senior, rounds out the returning contingent.

The Newcomers: Five recruits join the SJC ranks for the 2018-19 season, among them sophomore Sophia Lee and freshman Julianna Kohlus, who will be expected to score points in individual and relay events.

Freshmen Breanna Daly and Emma Martin, and senior Jasemine Ramos will add further depth to an already strong side.

Expectations: Building off a strong core of returners, Brandenberger expects the teams to place higher at the 2018-19 Skyline Conference Championships. Mullman, a three-time Skyline Weekly Honor Roll selection, will set the tone, but the depth of Baker, Peralta, Lee and Kohlus will inevitably determine SJC's conference championship finish.

When they start: The Golden Eagles begin the season on Saturday, October 13 when they head to Mount St. Mary College for a Skyline Conference meet with the Knights, St. Joseph's College (Brkln), SUNY Old Westbury and SUNY Purchase.

On Saturday, November 3, SJC hits the Danzi Center pool for the first time and hosts the College of New Rochelle and St. Joseph's (Brkln) at 10:00 am.
