Women’s Swimming Splits Double-Duel at Baruch

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team defeated Queensborough Community College, 72-10, but was topped by host Baruch College, 56-38, at a non-conference double-duel on Friday evening.

Meet highlights for the Golden Eagles included senior Catherine Peralta (12:01.35) and freshman Julianna Kohlus' (2:35.17) second-place finishes in the 800-yard free and the 200-yard free events, respectively.

Sophomores Sophia Lee (30.76) and Bella Peralta (1:19.97) also took second place in the 50-yard free and the 100-yard fly.

Lee scooped up her another second-place finish in the 100-yard free (1:06.90) and was a part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that took second place (2:08.53).

The Golden Eagles return to action tomorrow, December 8, when they head up to SUNY Purchase for a Skyline Conference meet at 12:00 pm.
