Women’s Tennis Downed by Farmingdale
Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team was handed an 8-1 home defeat at the hands of Farmingdale State at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex on Saturday afternoon.
The loss sends the Golden Eagles to 4-2 overall on the year and 1-1 in Skyline play as the Rams improve to 8-1 (3-0 Skyline).
Farmingdale swept the doubles matches and entered singles play up 3-0. SJC took 8-3 losses at both first and third doubles.
Erin Hickey was the only Golden Eagle to earn a win on the afternoon with a 6-1, 5-7 (10-8) victory at sixth singles. Amanda Post dropped a 6-2, 6-2 loss at first singles.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Wednesday, October 2 when they host Manhattanville College for a Skyline Conference contest at 5:00 pm.
