Women’s Tennis Sweeps SJC-Brooklyn on Tuesday

The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team secured a 9-0 Skyline Conference victory over St. Joseph's College (Brkln) at the USTA National Tennis Center on Tuesday evening.

The win sees the Golden Eagles improve to 8-2 overall on the year and 5-1 in conference play, keeping them comfortably in second place in the Skyline standings.

SJC conceded only one game in the three doubles matches and took a commanding 3-0 into singles play. Amanda Post and Nora Burnett dropped the single game in an 8-1 win at first singles.

The duo would go on to win impressively 6-2, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-1 at first and second singles, respectively, leading SJC to a clean sweep.

Alana Caporale was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at fifth singles and Alexandra Suslan claimed a 6-0, 6-0 victory at sixth singles.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, October 17 when they visit Sarah Lawrence for a Skyline Conference contest at 6:00 pm.
