Women’s Tennis Eases Past Manhattanville

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team dismissed Manhattanville College, 8-1, at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex in Skyline Conference action on Wednesday evening.

The win moves the Golden Eagles to 5-2 overall on the year and 2-1 in Skyline play as the Valiants slip to 1-4 (1-2 Skyline). 

SJC earned a clean sweep in doubles play winning all three matches. Erin Hickey and Lindsey Charrier fared best with an 8-1 win at third boules. Amanda Pot and Nora Burnett took an 8-3 win at first doubles.

Post suffered SJC's only loss of the evening at first singles (6-1, 6-1). Alana Caporale and Hickey earned dominant 6-0, 6-1 wins at fourth and sixth singles, respectively. 

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, October 5 when they host SUNY Purchase for a Skyline Conference contest at 12:00 pm.
