Women's Tennis Knocks Off Sarah Lawrence

Bronxville, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team registered its second-straight 9-0 victory when it defeated Skyline Conference rival Sarah Lawrence College on Thursday evening.

With the win the Golden Eagles improve to 9-2 overall on the year and and clinch second place in the Skyline standings with a 6-1 conference mark.

SJC posted 8-1 wins at second and third doubles and secured an 8-3 victory via Amanda Post and Nora Burnett at first doubles.

Burnett and Alexandra Suslan picked up 6-1, 6-1 wins at second and sixth singles, respectively, and Alana Caporale blanked Jillian Price, 6-0, 6-0, at fifth singles.

The Golden Eagles wrap up their regular season when they face Hunter College for a non-conference contest on Friday, October 18 at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY (3:00 pm).
