Women's Tennis Falls to Farmingdale in Skyline Final

Farmingdale, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team was defeated, 5-1, by Farmingdale State in the Skyline Conference championship game on Saturday afternoon.

The 2018 conference champion Golden Eagles failed to repeat as title holders and wrap their fall regular-season schedule with a 10-4 overall record. 

SJC's first doubles pairing of seniors Amanda Post and Nora Burnett picked up the only win of the afternoon with an 8-7 (7-2) decision.

Trailing 2-1 at the beginning of singles play, the Golden Eagles dropped third, fourth and fifth singles matches a succombed to the 5-1 defeat. First, second and sixth singles matches were not completed. 

Farmingdale earns the Skyline Conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships in the spring with the victory.
