Martocci and Burnett Earn Skyline All-Conference Honors

New York, NY| Junior Mackenzie Martocci and senior Nora Burnett of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team earned Skyline All-Conference honors when the organization released its end-of-season awards on Monday.

Martocci appears on the First-Team while Burnett lands on the Second-Team for the second time in her career.

Martocci was SJC's best singles player and boasted a 10-3 overall record faring best at third singles where she went 9-2 overall. The junior went 9-4 in doubles play and spent most of the season paired with senior Alana Caporale. The duo went 9-3 overall and 6-0 in Skyline play.

Burnett, a Second-Team selection in 2017, was 8-4 in singles action and posted a 6-1 record in conference play. She played all 13 of her doubles matches at first doubles with fellow senior Amanda Post and went 10-3 overall and 6-1 in Skyline action.

Second-seeded SJC was defeated 5-1 by top-seeded Farmingdale State in the Skyline Conference final on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles were defending their first-ever conference title which they won in 2018.
