Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) baseball team dropped a 7-3 non-conference matchup to William Paterson on Wednesday afternoon at Gregg Alfano field. With the loss, the Golden Eagles fall to 8-5 and the Pioneers improve to 7-6-2.

After a scoreless first inning SJC got on the board in the bottom of the second, Lou Doria led off with a double, advanced to third after a Dylan Piscitelli groundout to second base. A double down the right field line by Anthony Raucci knocked in Doria for the first tally of the contest and a Tyler Sanderson double to center drove in Raucci for the 2-0 lead.

In the third, a leadoff error and a catcher's interference put two runners on with no one out. An RBI single to right field by Piscitelli knocked in Anthony Bonilla to take a 3-0 advantage over William Paterson.

With runners on second and third and two outs, the Pioneers answered back with a pair of runs after an RBI single to right center to bring the game within one (3-2).

In the top of the fifth, William Paterson led off the inning with a single and tied the game up with an RBI single to right field.  The Pioneers pushed two runs across the board after a single and a sac bunt to take a 5-3 advantage.

William Paterson scored another pair of runs in the top of the sixth off three hits to earn a 7-3 victory over SJC.
