Golden Eagles Earn A First Place Finish At The Skyline Conference Invitational

Farmingdale, NY | The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team shot a combined 302 which was a program-best on Friday afternoon in the second round of the Skyline Conference qualifier at the Farmingdale St. Invitational, held at Bethpage State Park.

The Golden Eagles shot 22 strokes over par, which good enough for a first place finish over Farmingdale who posted a 305.

Ryan Reed from Famingdale St. posted a 71, one stroke over par, which landed him on top of the leaderboards as senior Christian Bleck who shot a 74, as he earned the second place finish.

Senior Zac Campanelli and sophomore Vinny Garofalo turned in strong rounds as well placing a fourth and sixth with scores of 75 and 76 respectively.

Senior Rob Bray earned his second top-ten finish of the season as he shot a 77 to finish in seventh place.

Patrick Standard earned his best finish of the year earning a spot in the top-20 as he shot an 82 on the afternoon.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday September 19  as they travel to Harrisburg, PA for the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational
