Golden Eagles Finish in Seventh at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational

Harrisburg, PA| The St. Joseph's College men's golf team competed in the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational on Sunday and Monday at Dauphins Highlands golf course. The Golden Eagles shot a two-day total of 631 (311, 320) placing them seventh in the 12-team field.

Franklin and Marshall (284-297--581) finished fifteen strokes ahead of Gettysburg (287-309--596) and York (Pa.) (292-304--596) to claim victory.

Zac Campanelli finished in the top ten and paced the Golden Eagles with a two-day total of five strokes above-par 149. After shooting a five-over on Sunday, Campanelli countered with an even-par day of 72 on Monday. He was one of the three golfers who shot even par on Monday.

Christian Bleck (79) , Rob Bray (79), Patrick Standard (76) all shot rounds in the 70s on Sunday which, along with Campanelli's 77, led St. Joseph's to a day-one total of 311. Bleck shot a 155 to finish four strokes over par on the day.

On Monday, Bray and Standard shot in the 80s and the Golden Eagles tallied a 320 on the afternoon.

Brandon Hauser made his first appearance for St. Joseph's this season, shooting scores of 84 and 94.

The Golden Eagles will next tee off on Friday, Sept. 25th when they take on Nassau Community College and Farmingdale St. in a tri-match at Bethpage State Park Red Course.
