Riverdale, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's soccer team played the College of Mount St. Vincent to a 1-1 draw in Skyline Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
The result sees the Golden Eagles move to 2-11-2 overall on the year and 2-6-2 in Skyline play as the Dolphins slide to 4-10-2 (3-5-2 Skyline).
SJC's only tally of the match came off the foot of senior Rayneri Ruiz, who rescued a point for the guests in the 83rd minute when he banged in his team-leading 11th goal of the season. Junior Alex Tarach was credited with the assist.
The Dolphins opened the scoring in the 54th minute when Derrick Cordova finished off a feed from Sory Konate.
Junior keeper Tyler Flaherty made six saves on seven shots in the SJC goal.
Overall, Mt. St. Vincent generated more shots in the contest (15-14) and won eight corners to SJC's three.
The Golden Eagles wrap up their 2019 season on Tuesday, October 29 when they host Mount St. Mary College for a Skyline Conference contest at 7:00 pm.
