Men's Volleyball Picked to Repeat in Skyline Preseason Coaches Poll

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team finished first in the Skyline Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll, which was released on the conference website on Wednesday afternoon.

The defending Skyline Conference champions earned five of six first-place votes and 25 total points in the poll, six more total points than SUNY Purchase and the College of Mount St. Vincent, which tied for second place. SUNY Purchase received one first-place vote.

Rounding out the field were St. Joseph's College (Brkln) and Yeshiva University in a fourth-place tie with 11 points and Sarah Lawrence College, which garnered five points and finished last.

SJC opened its 2019 season on Tuesday night with a 3-2 victory over #6 NYU inside the Danzi Center. The return to action on Saturday, January 19 when they visit Sacred Heart University for a non-conference contest at 1:00 pm.

St. Joseph's opens its Skyline Conference campaign on March 13 when it hosts St. Joseph's (Brkln) inside the Danzi Center at 7:00 pm.
