Men’s Volleyball Swept by #7 New Paltz

New Paltz, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team dropped to 19-6 overall on the year on Tuesday evening when they dropped a 3-0 decision at #7 SUNY New Paltz (21-7).

An off-the-mark SJC offense was led by juniors Kyle Biggers and Matthew Amberge, who both put down a team-best five kills.

Junior Danny McNamara was credited with nine digs and senior Tyler Jones dished out 19 assists.

The Hawks were led by Nick Smith, who hit .500 and was credited with a game-best 13 kills.

SJC never led mid set and were shrugged off 25-15 in the third after dropping 25-19 and 25-18 decisions in the first and second sets, respectively.

New Paltz hit .362 in the contest compared the SJC's even zero percent. The guests were limited to just 19 kills in the match.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, April 4 when they host the College of Mount St. Vincent for a Skyline Conference doubleheader starting at 6:00 pm.
