Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Sarah Lawrence, Yeshiva on Sunday

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team picked up 3-0 wins over Sarah Lawrence College and Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference tri-match inside the Danzi Center on Sunday afternoon.

With the wins, the Golden Eagles improve to 15-3 overall on the year and 3-0 in Skyline action.

SJC 3, Sarah Lawrence 0

SJC allowed a combined 14 points across three sets in 25-6, 25-5 and 25-3 victories.

Freshman Devin Perez led an SJC attack that hit .757 with a game-high six kills.

Sophomore Jack Solen, junior Matthew Amberge and freshman Sean Williams each contributed five kills while senior Tyler Jones dished out a game-high nine assists.

Juniors Paul Curaro and Will Flohr were credited with five service aces each.

SJC 3, Yeshiva 0

After cruising to a 25-5 win in the first set, SJC scooped up 25-15 victories in both the second and third sets to clinch its second 3-0 sweep of the afternoon.

Flohr hit .500 in the contest and posted a game-high 10 kills. Junior Kyle Biggers and WIlliams each went for six kills apiece.

Jones (11), sophomore Jason Siriban (11) and freshman Michael Lane (10) combined for 32 assists and Flohr scooped up a game-best eight digs.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Wednesday, March 27 when they host SUNY Purchase for a Skyline Conference contest at 7:00 pm.
