A closely played opening frame saw the Golden Eagles trailing 23-21 late in the set, but three straight points went in favor of SJLI for a 24-23 advantage. After the Hawks tied it up at 24, Gremli closed out the set with a kill and an ace for the 26-24 win

Hunter bounced back in set two cruising to a 25-9 win to even the match

Set three was tied at nine before the Hawks went on a 7-2 run, 16-11, and the visitors would go on to take the set 25-14

After claiming the first four points of the fourth frame, SJLI answered with four of their own. The teams exchanged points, but the Hawks began to pull away midway through the set and captured the 25-17 set win
