The St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team took down St. Joseph's University-New York (BK) in straight sets in the Danzi Center on Tuesday night.

• Senior Madison Gremli led all players with 13 kills and five service aces while picking up seven digs

• Freshman Nina Vanderhoof added eight kills 

• Setter Katie D'Angelo tossed a match-high 27 assists with seven digs

• Libero Sarah Montefusco picked up a team-best 14 digs

How it happened

• The Golden Eagles jumped to an early 7-1 lead in the opening frame and maintained a healthy distance as they cruised to a 25-14 win

• The Bears kept it close in the second set trailing by just two late in the frame, 22-20, but SJLI's Jackie Wolf knocked down a kill followed by a pair of aces to secure the 25-20 win

• The teams were deadlocked midway through set three, 13-13, but the Golden Eagles managed to hold on to complete the sweep with a 27-17 win
