The St. Joseph's University-New York (L.I.) women's volleyball team dropped a couple of non-conference matches to Eastern Nazarene College 3-0 and Emmanuel College 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions jumped to an 11-5 lead, but the Golden Eagles chipped away to get within two, 16-14. ENC regained momentum and went on to take set one 25-20

Eastern Nazarene made quick work of the Golden Eagles in the second set with a 25-12 win

A closely played third set saw the teams tied at 19, but the hosts claimed six of the final seven points for a 25-20 win to complete the sweep

With the teams tied at seven in the opening frame, the Saints went on an 11-3 run, 18-10, before coming away with the 25-14

A back-and-forth battle ensued in set three, but with the score knotted at 23, the Saints took the final two points to edge the Golden Eagles 25-23
