The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) women's lacrosse team picked up their first season victory with a 14-8 win over Ramapo on Saturday afternoon.

The game opened with Ramapo pulling ahead with a two-goal advantage, prior to SJLI responding with a 4-1 scoring run, giving St. Joseph's the 4-3 lead at the end of the first

Kayla Sodano opened up the scoring in the second quarter before goals from Griffin and Featherstone tied it up at 5 apiece

Both teams would enter the half tied at six with O'Mara and Kaylie Gresek trading goals right before the half
-
The Golden Egles would take control in the third quarter scoring Ramapo 4-1 in the quarter with Newman netting the first two goals

SJLI kept the Roadrunners at a distance for the remainder of the game with St. Joseph's again out-scoring the opponent 4-1 securing the win
