Doria, Shaw and Stoppelli Land on Skyline Weekly Honor Rolls

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners were Lou Doria (baseball), Josh Shaw (men's lacrosse) and Nicole Stoppelli (women's lacrosse), who all earned Weekly Honor Roll recognition for their respective sports.

Lou Doria (Jr.) – Baseball Weekly Honor Roll

Doria batted for a .357 average and belted three home runs in three-consecutive games leading the Golden Eagles to a 4-2 week. Last Friday, the cleanup hitter went 2-for-2, including a two-run homerun in SJC's 11-8 win over Lehman. The Wantagh, NY native continued his strong play in a sweep of Old Westbury, notching a game-tying three-run homerun in a 4-3 victory in game one before smashing a two-run dinger in a 12-0 game-two win. As of Monday, Doria was fifth in the conference in batting average, first in HRs, fourth in RBIs, third in walks, first in on-base percentage and second in slugging percentage.

Josh Shaw (Sr.) – Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

In two game last week (SJC 1-1), Shaw recorded a team-best 13 points (8 goals, 5 assists) and recorded 16 shots. In a 12-4 win over Maritime on Tuesday, the Bayport, NY native tallied five times and added one helper for six points, and in a 16-12 defeat to Kean on Saturday the attack went for three goals and four assists. Shaw wraps the season as SJC's leader in the assists (30) and points (60) and ranks second in the conference in assists/game (2.31) and fourth in points/game (4.62).

Nicole Stoppelli (So.) – Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

In a 2-0 week for the Golden Eagles, Stoppelli notched a team-high 15 points (9 goals, 6 assists) while scooping up four ground balls. After a six-point performance in a 17-3 win over Maritime on Wednesday, the Lindenhurst, NY native went for a career-best nine points (5 goals, 4 assists) in a 17-6 victory over USMMA. Stoppelli, who registered a 100% shooting percentage on the week, currently leads the team in points (62) and assists (27) and is second in goals (35).
