Chris Jimenez – St. Joseph's - LI
Sr, G, Huntington Station, NY/St. Anthony's HS

Jimenez was named MVP in leading the Eagles to the title of the Eastern Connecticut Tournament…He pushed SJC to the finals with a 22-pt. effort, including 5 treys, and 4 boards, steals and assists…Added 13 points, 3 reb., 4 assists and 5 steals in the title game vs. ECSU, and shot 44% FG and 43% 3-pt. for the week

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Ryan Tierney – Farmingdale State
Sr., F, Wantagh, NY/Wantagh HS

Tierney, playing his first year of collegiate ball, had an impressive debut, averaging 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg in a 1-1 week for the Rams…Contributed with over Brockport with 12 pts. and 4 steals

Men's Swimmer of the Week
August Cook - Purchase
Jr., Syracuse, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius HS

Cook was very impressive in two meets for the Panthers, winning all 6 individual events…Won 200 free (1:59.76), 100 free (52.09), and 100 breast (1:06.58) vs. league foe Maritime, then won same 3 events (1:58.66; 52.28; 1:06.19) vs. Lehman

Men's Swimming Rookie of the Week
Bryan Woodhead – Old Westbury
Fr., Port Jefferson, NY/Port Jefferson HS

Woodhead helped key a 3-0 week for Old Westbury…He led the Panthers to wins against York & CMSV with 2 individual wins (100 back – 1:01.35 and 200 free) and 2 relay wins (200 medley and 200 free)…Also has a season-best in the 100 back (56.43), 1 of 3 wins vs. Brooklyn

Women's Swimmer of the Week
Kamara Lewis - Purchase
So., Jamaica, NY/Francis Lewis HS

Lewis led the Panthers to a pair of wins…Won 50 free (27.56), 100 fly (1:12.99) and 200 MR to key league win vs. Maritime…Added wins in 100 fly (1:12.56) and 200 IM (2:42.10) against Lehman

Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week
Janet Marmol – Old Westbury
Fr., Syosset, NY/Curtis HS

Marmol led the Panthers to a 2-1 week with 4 individual and 2 relay triumphs…Against York/ MSV, she won 200 IM, 100 breast (1:32.67), & 200 free relay…Vs. Brooklyn, won 200 IM (2:35.23), 100 breast (1:23.03) and 400 free relay

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Margaux Pickell – NYU-Poly
Sr, F, Howell, NJ/Howell HS

Pickell was truly outstanding in a 2-1 week for the Lady Jays…Averaged 19.3 ppg and 14.3 rpg, and became the first player in school annals to surpass 1000 career boards…All-Tourney pick at John Adams Tourney, with tourney record 19 reb and 16 pts. vs. Lehman, after a 18-pt., 15-reb. effort vs. King's…Earlier in the week, became the all-time leading scorer in NYU-Poly history, surpassing the previous mark of 1280

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Catherine Thompson – NYU-Poly
Fr., F, Spackenkill, NY/Spackenkill HS

Thompson started her career in grand fashion, helping the Jays to a 2-1 start…Netted 14.7 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.7 spg and 2.0 apg…Totalled 15 pts. and 6 reb. vs. King's and then had a game-high 20 pts. and 8 boards vs. Lehman
