Patchogue, NY| In her first season leading the St. Joseph's College women's soccer team, head coach Emily Morphitis looks to bring the Golden Eagles back to the Skyline Conference Tournament in the 2019 season. The Golden Eagles, who finished 10-7 overall with a 7-2 conference mark in 2018, are slated fifth in the Preseason Poll as voted on by conference coaches.

Returners: After graduating a pair of seniors from last year's team including First-Team All-Conference selection Samantha Caruso, Coach Morphitis will lean on a group of 11 returners. Among the returners are two-time All-Conference forwards Christina Gagliardi and Carly Credidio. The duo combined for 24 goals and 11 assists. Seniors Shannon Condron and Jessica Passabile will patrol the midfield while seniors Karissa Rutigliano and Jaclyn O'Shaughnessy will lead the backline, who along with senior goalkeeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo held opponents to a 1.29 goals-against average and eight shutouts a season ago.

Newcomers: Seven new faces join the squad this year including transfers Alysha Annarella, Fallon Schmidt and Julia Fazio all looking to bring experience to the team. Also seeking to make an immediate impact are freshmen Nicole Trude, Jemma Spitaleri, Emily Ascoli and Abbey Curcio.

When they begin: The Golden Eagles embark on its 2019 campaign Sunday, September 1st when they host New Jersey City University at Danzi Stadium at 12:00 pm. SJC makes a quick return home on September 3rd and will face Brooklyn College at 7:00 pm.
