Women's Soccer Suffers Non-Conference Loss

Galloway, NJ| The St. Joseph's College women's soccer team suffered a 6-1 non-conference loss to Stockton University at G. Larry James Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Golden Eagles slide to 2-1-1 on the season as the Ospreys improve to 4-1.

SJC's only shot of the game came off the foot of Abbey Curcio in the third minute of play resulting in an early 1-0 lead. Stockton's Sydney Williams tie the game in the 20th minute and then dish an assist to Coral Briber to give the home team a 2-1 lead heading into the break.

The second half was all Stockton as the Osprey outshot the Golden Eagles 11-0 resulting in four goals to come away with the 6-1 win.

SJC goalkeeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo finished with 11 saves on the day.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday, September 15 when they travel to NYU. Game time is set for 12:00 PM.
