Galloway, NJ| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Stockton University on Thursday night in a non-conference matchup at G. Larry James Stadium. With the loss, the Golden Eagles fall to 2-3 on the season as their NJAC opponents improve to 3-3.

The Ospreys established themselves early in the match, recording two shots in the first four minutes before netting their side's first goal at the 10-minute mark when Emily Frazee sent a cross to Lindsey Thomas for the one-touch finish.

Stockton continued to control the pace of the game and doubled its lead in the 44th minute after Abbey Yannacone slotted home an attempt from 10-yards out.

Outshot 6-0 in the first half, the Golden Eagles entered halftime down 2-0, but failed to turn the tide in the second half. Stockton rounded out the scoring in the 65th minute after Salena LeDonne shot was deflected into the back of the net to down the guests 3-0.

Juliana Cintron-Leonardo recorded six saves in a match that saw her side outshot 11-1. Despite being out-possessed and out-shot, the Golden Eagle defense did well to keep enemy attackers to the outside and turn chances away.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Monday, September 18 for a Skyline Conference contest at Purchase College at 7:00 pm.
