Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to the College of Mount St. Vincent in a Skyline Conference showdown at Danzi Stadium on Tuesday evening.

With the loss the Golden Eagles slip to 8-7 on the year and drop to fourth place in conference play with a 4-3 Skyline mark.

The Dolphins, now 6-7 on the year and 5-2 in Skyline action, leapfrog SJC and move into third place.

The guests set the tone early, recording four of the match's five shots before taking the lead in the sixth minute when Julia McGown snuck behind the defense and beat SJC keeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo 1-on-1.

St. Joseph's tallied a total of 11 shots in the game and forced CMSV's Elizabeth Martin into making three saves but never found an equalizer.

Cintron-Leonardo (5-6) faced 21 shots and made five saves in the contest.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, October 20 when they face Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference match at Votee Park (Teaneck, NJ) at 10:30 am. Follow the action with live stats here.
