Women's Soccer Breezes Past York, 11-0

Patchogue, NY| Seven different players scored as the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team breezed past York College by the score of 11-0 on Tuesday night at Danzi Stadium in Patchogue, NY. With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 7-4 overall while York falls to 0-10.

Sophomore Christina Gagliardi opened the scoring for St. Joseph's in the fifth minute just seconds before she scored her second goal of the game to double the Golden Eagles lead. Kristin Carroll sent a through ball to Mackenzie Nyitray for the one-touch finish to give the hosts a 3-0 advantage. Carly Credidio scored her first goal of the night in the 14th minute to push the Golden Eagles ahead 4-0.
Jessica Passabile tallied her first goal of the season in the 15th minute courtesy of a Nyitray cross, who, three minutes later, tallied her second assist of the night to Credidio for the 6-0 advantage. In the 22nd minute, Credidio tallied her first career hat trick after an assist by Alexandra Ehrhart, and Rebecca Walsh netted her second goal of the year a minute after.
Josseline Sorto would conclude the scoring in the first half as she put it past the keeper on a breakaway to pull away 9-0.

The second half featured back-to-back goals by Passabile (74:01) and Carroll (76:10) to earn the 11-0 win over York.
Gagliardi leads the team with 13 goals, while Credidio is second on the team with seven. The Golden Eagles outshot their opponents 24-2 and edged out York in corners 5-1.
