Patchogue, NY| Senior Kristin Carroll scored in the 68th minute and claimed sole possession of third place on the program's career goals list (20) in the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team's 3-0 Senior Day victory over SUNY Maritime (4-9-2, 1-7-0 Skyline) at Danzi Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

With the win, the Golden Eagles, who clinched the fourth seed in the conference championship tournament, finish their regular season with a 10-7-0 overall record and a 6-3-0 Skyline Conference mark.

SJC opened the scoring in the ninth minute when sophomore Mackenzie Nyitray one-timed a ball out of midair off a corner for her seventh goal of the season.

The hosts doubled their lead before the break when sophomore Christina Gagliardi, who established a new program single-season goalscoring record at Yeshiva on Friday, beat the Maritime keeper 1-on-1 for her 19th goal of the season in the 18th minute.

Carroll's goal in the 68th minute--a put-back of her own initial attempt--wrapped up the match's scoring and brought the Patchogue, NY native's career point total to 52 (fourth all-time).

Juliana Cintron-Leonardo made three saves and notched her seventh win of the season in a match that saw her side outshoot its opponent 29-6.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, October 28 when they host a first-round Skyline Conference Championship match at Danzi Stadium. Time and opponent to be determined.
