Burnett, Kreuscher and Shaw Land on Skyline Weekly Honor Rolls

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners were junior Matthew Burnett of the baseball team and seniors Brooke Kreuscher and Josh Shaw of the women's and men's lacrosse teams, respectively, who all appeared on Weekly Honor Rolls for their sports.

Matthew Burnett (Jr.) – Baseball Weekly Honor Roll

In baseball's season opener last Wednesday, the Golden Eagles surged past John Jay, 12-1, behind a three-hit, two-RBI day from Burnett. The Amityville, NY native drove in teammate Tyler Crafa for the game's first run, and in the bottom of the eighth he would tally his second RBI with a single to center field.

Brooke Kreuscher (Sr.) – Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

In three games last week Kreuscher collected six goals and one assist for a total seven points. In a 12-4 loss to FDU-Florham last Wednesday, the attack tallied three unanswered goals for a late-game hat trick. In a 12-9 loss to SUNY Potsdam, the Bayport, NY native tallied two goals –including the game-tying goal in the final minutes of the game –and was credited with an assist. Kreuscher is currently second in the conference in goals (6).

Josh Shaw (Sr.) – Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll

Through two games last Week Shaw tallied a total of four goals, five assists and nine points. In a 12-6 win over Division II St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday, the attackman went for a game-best seven points (3 goals, 4 assists) and wrapped the week with one goal and one assist in a 17-11 win over SUNY Canton on Saturday afternoon. As of Monday the Bayport, NY native led the team and was second in the conference in assists (12).
