MacDonell Earns Skyline Runner of the Week Honors, Haviland & Duda Rookies of the Week

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners were senior Erin MacDonell, who was named Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, and Megan Haviland (women's cross country) and Damian Duda (men's soccer), who were named Rookies of the Week in their respective sports.

Additionally, junior Ryan Haun appeared on the Men's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll.

Erin MacDonell (Sr.) – Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

For the fourth time this season, MacDonell was named Runner of the Week, this time following a second-place finish at the Mount St. Mary Invitational at Hudson Valley Sports Dome (Milton, NY) on Saturday afternoon. MacDonell's 6k time of 24:37 was best among NCAA Division III runners at the event and ensured she finished 1:04 ahead of her fellow Skyline Conference competitors. The Sayville, NY native, in addition to earning four conference Runner of the Week nods, has collected two ECAC Metro Division III Runner of the Week honors this year.

Meagan Haviland (Fr.) – Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week

Along with MacDonell, Haviland helped power the women's cross country team to a first-place finish at the Mount St. Mary Invitational on Saturday—a meet that featured 24 teams. Haviland turned in a 14th-place finish with a time a 25:53 to earn her third Skyline Rookie of the Week nod this season. The Sound Beach, NY native was also named ECAC Metro Division III Rookie of the Week back on September 13.

Damian Duda (So.) – Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week

Duda recorded a goal and an assist in the men's soccer team's 2-2 draw at the College of Mount St. Vincent on Saturday to earn the first Rookie of the Week honor of his career. After falling behind 1-0 in this first half, Duda assisted on Ryneri Ruiz's tally in the 31st minute to knot the score up at one. In the 81st minute, Duda's headed goal—the first tally of his career—tied the score up again (2-2) and ensured the Golden Eagles earned a road draw.

Ryan Haun (Jr.) – Men's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

At Saturday's Mount St. Mary Invitational, Haun led the Golden Eagles with a ninth-place finish in the men's 8k race. With a time of 28:09, Haun was the third-highest placing Skyline Conference runner and earned eight points for an SJC team that placed ninth among 25 competing schools. The Bayport, NY native appears on the Weekly Honor Roll for the second-straight week.
