Biggers and Blydenburgh Earn Skyline Weekly Awards

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday evening, and amongst the winners were sophomore Kyle Biggers (men's volleyball) and senior Ashley Blydenburgh (softball), who earned Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week honors, respectively.

Kyle Biggers (So.) – Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

A four-time Player of the Week, Biggers hit .372 and put down 23 kills at a 3.28 kills-per-set pace last week. In a 3-0 sweep of Mount St. Vincent on Thursday, the middle blocker hit .550 and recorded a game-high 13 kills. The Holbrook, NY native went for 10 kills in a 3-1 home victory over the Dolphins on Sunday evening. As of Monday afternoon, Biggers was first in the conference and ninth in the nation in hitting percentage (.432).

Ashley Blydenburgh (Sr.) – Softball Pitcher of the Week

Blydenburgh picks up her first-ever weekly honor after hurling a complete game in SJC's 5-0 victory over Sarah Lawrence on Saturday. The Middle Island, NY native fanned seven batters and brought her season strikeout total to 29—good for fifth in the conference.
