Golden Eagles Give Back with Annual Food Drive

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) teamed up with Island Harvest for this year's Fall/Thanksgiving Food Drive.

"With everything going on in the world it is important to do everything we can to make a difference," stated SAAC President Alez Ehrhart. "As student-athletes we have the power to make a difference and I think it is moments like these that matter most. We are all thankful to be Golden Eagles and thankful to have the opportunity to make a difference in the community."

For weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, the Golden Eagles collected food donations and hosted a 3v3 basketball tournament that required a donation to participate that will be delivered to Island Harvest and distributed to families in need.

"It was really great to see everyone come together to make a difference in the community and support a great cause," Ehrhart continued. "It's been a while since we have all been able to be together and I think it is really great that we can all unite to support such an amazing organization."
